Holidays made easy with August

August is an alternative way of owning holiday homes. We take care of all typical home ownership hassles, allowing you to enjoy your holidays. So to make holidaying even more straight forward with the only worry to deal with being what you'll eat, what to see and what to do, our local teams are always here to lend a helping hand. From the best places to eat, drink, shop, see, do and play, we will have you covered so you can spend more time doing what you do best on holidays.

Our Chamonix home is almost ready to welcome our families, so we've been in Chamonix adding the final home touches with Benedicte and Giuseppe from our local team to prepare for your arrival.

Benedicte and Giuseppe have over 20 years of hotel and hospitality experience. They have spent almost half of their working lives in Chamonix. So we're thrilled that they are apart of the August team, helping our families take care of their homes and us.

Here's what they have to say about our beloved Chamonix:

Meet Benedicte & Giuseppe

This is us on the terrace of your Chamonix home, the views are breathtaking!

We are Benedicte and Giuseppe originally from Norway and Italy, we now live in Chamonix and have been here for many years. We came for our love of work but soon fell madly for Chamonix and, for each other. This is a very special place for us and we can't wait to share it with you.

Chamonix is very cosmopolitan and we have all different kinds of nationalities living here.

It is very busy during the summer and the winter seasons, as everybody is attracted by the beauty of the mountains and the Mont-Blanc. Who can blame them? It's stunning! It's also perfectly located, with Italy and Switzerland its' closest neighbours, and only a few hours drive down to the Mediterranean Sea. Not to mention also just a drive away from your other August homes.

We love Chamonix because to us, it's the heart of Western Europe, the world capital for outdoor activities - skiing, hiking, rafting, tennis, golfing, climbing, alpinism, you name it! So it's very exciting that we can share our love for Chamonix with our August families. With so much to see and do, you'll never get bored of visiting and we'll make sure your experience is unique every time even though you're coming back to the same place.

Food is an important part of our lives so from enjoying your morning coffee and pastries at Josphine's or Chalet 4810 in the centre of Chamonix, only a few steps walk away from your Chamonix home, to enjoying lunch on the slopes of Brevent at La Bergerie De Plan Praz with stunning views to the Mont Blanc and its surrounding peaks. We will have your food diary planned so you can enjoy the delights of the region. Especially cheese. You must try Raclette, Tartiflette, Croute and cheese fondue! and yes we know all the best places so just ask us! At Refuge Payot in the heart of the village, also walking distance from your home, you'll also be able to find a lot of local produce such as saucisson, local beer, paté etc. We're getting hungry just thinking about it!

Being local residents of the village, we are very familiar with all the events that happen around the year. We are very social so we love being apart of the community, so no matter when you come to visit, there will also be something for you to look forward to. Look out for our "local guides by month" coming soon, which will outline all the exciting things happening. Including some things we love doing in summer where we get up early to play tennis in front of Mont Blanc, the most beautiful view from any court ever. After tennis, we go for a hike on either the Balcon Nord/Sud or in the valley if the weather is misty. In winter we go skiing, either downhill, randonnée or cross country skiing.

We're also very well connected with all things home and well-being related, we're here to make your life easier and have been doing this for a long time so we know all the right numbers to call. Whether it's private massages, personal trainers, babysitters, private chefs, additional home cleaning, dry cleaning or ensuring your fridge and pantry are fully stocked with the freshest local produce and specialities before you arrive or during your stay, we can help!

So whilst you're away, back in reality, taking a break from your holiday, we'll make sure your homes are well looked after and maintained so that it's all ready for your next visit.

Like the rest of the August team, we can not wait to start welcoming our first August families later this year. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Au revoir à bientôt,

Benedicte and Giuseppe
