French Riviera, France, 2 bedroom flat
The Alpes-Maritimes, better known as la Côte d’Azur, spreads from Nice to Cannes, up to the Mercantour national park. Its bright light, breathtaking landscapes, azure sea and 300 days of sunshine a year make the Côte d’Azur a dream destination for a holiday home that can be used all year round.
Easily accessible, this area is a delightful place to kick back for a couple of days, try local food markets, fine restaurants, visit galleries and artisans’ shops in town, and discover the surrounding villages and beaches.
Your home on the Cote d’Azur will be in a coastal town like Cannes or Golf Juan. Nestled in the town centre, you will be ideally located close to local restaurants, amenities not to mention just a few minutes from the sea. You can expect nice views and a balcony with enough space for you to enjoy your aperitif.
This August home will be a flat with a minimum of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large open space living and dining with large windows filling your nest with natural light so that the outside space becomes its natural extension.
As always we are focusing on finding authentic details such as high ceiling, French doors and ornate balcony metalwork. But our ‘must have’ criteria is proximity to our favourite restaurants and outdoor space. We will create a refined, French-influenced interior with all modern amenities and maximum comfort.
Chamonix, France, 2 bedroom flat
At the foot of the Mont-Blanc, Chamonix counts breath-taking scenery, historical sights and exciting year-round activities, so there’s plenty of things to do in Chamonix for all the family to enjoy. In fact, you will be surprised to know that there are more tourists visiting Chamonix in the summer than in the winter.
The valley of Chamonix is 15 km long from Les Houches to Argentiere, with the city of Chamonix being located in the middle of the valley. It is important to note that as the valley is surrounded by very high mountains some areas lie most of the year in the shade. Indeed the northern part of the valley gets a lot more sun than the southern part, especially so during the winter. For that reason, we focus on the northern part of Chamonix (city) all the way to Argentiere and exclude the southern regions around Les Houches.
Your August Chamonix home will be situated in the centre of the village, walking distance to all shops, restaurants and bus stops. It will offer two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a small terrace, if possible. It must be facing Mont Blanc so that you can enjoy the best view and have as much daylight as possible. You can expect cosy chalet chic interiors with all the appliances your family need to enjoy the best ski or hiking holidays.
The above photos and view are from a flat we have selected for your collection which is located in a prestigious residence in the pedestrian area of Chamonix. It overlooks the river and Chamonix peaks offering a view you will never get tired of. The apartment of 71 sqm is in need of full renovation and consists of a large living room with a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room opens onto another terrace of 5 sqm, offering panoramic views onto Mont Blanc.
We will transform this perfectly located apartment and turn it into a cosy, chalet chic getaway. The render above provides you with a first insight into what you can expect your Chamonix home to look like.
Tuscany, Italy, 3 bedroom farmhouse
There are different opinions as to what the “real” Tuscany is. Having travelled across Tuscany some of our favourite areas are the ones of Chianti and Lucca.
Starting in the south of magnificent Florence, the Chianti valley expands all the way to Siena including all the area in between where the famous wine is grown. Chianti is home to adorable and authentic villages with picturesque market places, like Greve the capital of this region. There is also Lucca, our favourite area. Perfectly located, close to Pisa Airport, it is just 30 minutes from the sea, while being in the middle of rolling hills and traditional villages.
Deep in the heart of Lucca, your August home will be a beautiful farmhouse that is approximately 200 sqm, offering all the charm you can expect from a Tuscan holiday home. Conveniently located a few minutes drive from a traditional village where you can do your grocery shopping, enjoy the small local restaurants or simply wander around the old little streets full of character.
Your home will boost traditional features such as terracotta flooring, authentic fireplaces, arched ceilings and exposed beams. You can expect a large kitchen to have plenty of space to prepare large family meals, a large living and dining room, a minimum of three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Our must-have are of course a view, outdoor space to eat al fresco meals and a pool. We will restore your Tuscan home to maintain its charm and authenticity while adding all modern appliances and features you can expect from your August holiday homes.
Barcelona, Spain, 2 - 3 bedroom flat
Barcelona celebrates its reputation as one of the most attractive cities in Europe. Whether you are into gastronomy and wine, lovely sandy beaches, Picasso, Miró and Dali, world-class architecture, shopping, or the active life with golf, tennis and even skiing, Barcelona has it all.
There are a number of different areas where we can buy in Barcelona. The August flat needs to be walking distance to small restaurants, bars, markets and the sea. Barcelona's soul can be found best on La Rambla - the city's lifeline with street artists, small shops, record stores and a flea market with everything from aquarium fish to antiques. The Rambla stretches from the large Plaça de Catalunya and divides the old town into two parts. An exciting area to visit with vibrant life, which makes the adjacent districts attractive for having a holiday home.
Your August home in Barcelona will be a flat located in the central neighbourhoods of Eixample or El Born. With a minimum of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the apartment will be in a charming little alley that is away from the crowd but within walking distance to everything.
Authentic features and character in Barcelona mean you can expect your Catalan gateway to feature large windows, high ceilings, original tiles and flooring. Your beautiful apartment will be bright and located in a charming neighbourhood close to all activities. The above photos will be very much what you can expect your August home to be. We’ll design your home in order to combine all modern comforts with authentic features.
Mallorca, Spain, 2 bedroom flat
We have looked at holiday homes all over Mallorca, and have found that the best place to buy a holiday flat is in the southwest of the island - the area around Palma stretching all the way to Port D'Andratx, which are 10-15 minutes drive away and less than 30 minutes to the airport.
Andratx and Port D'Andratx are well known to holiday home buyers as they love its harbour, the many cafes and restaurants. There are also very few hotels in Andratx, so the city is well preserved. There are many local shops and cafes and in most harbour, you can expect the fishermen to sell their catch of the day at the end of the afternoon. These areas are also conveniently located just 10 minutes away from Palma, perfect to try one of its many restaurants or shopping trip which makes it even more attractive for an all-year-round destination.
Your Mallorca home will be a charming town-house, located in one of the small traditional villages situated on the west side of the island, such as Soller. Tucked away in the quiet back streets of a lively village, you’ll be very close from the main square with local restaurants and shops.
Your home will have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It will feature a sun-soaked terrace, offering partial views of the mountains and the rooftops of the nearby houses.
This August home will be fully renovated, where we’ll respect its traditional character, but provide the highest level of comfort and quality. Architecturally, your home will have the traditional vaulted ceiling, as well as original exposed wooden beams and original flooring.
